Frequently Asked Questions:

How much does it cost?
Most companies charge a percentage of your budget as a planning fee, by doing so they increase your budget. We charge a flat fee based on your wedding and include it within your budget not above it.  We arrange a few consultations, ask questions, look at samples, and determine the wedding we can provide for you with in your budget. We will present a wedding package that includes the services you requested for the budget you allow us. The budget is guaranteed and can not be changed with out the expressed consent of the client.

What if I want to provide my own DJ or Officiant? All of our packages are a'la carte. We meet couples in all stages of their wedding planning. Some only require the last few things, photography and cake or the DJ. However, some require every detail to be planned. Each service is added to your package as you need it. Our services can also be adjusted to meet your desires, for example, if you want a bartender but only a select open bar or a cash bar.

Are all the services in house? Depends on the service. All photography, designer cake, decorating, and table design are services performed in house. However, we occasionally hire additional waitstaff, we offer a collection of entertainment to choose from, and catering is generally out sourced but completely arranged and managed by our staff.

How much time do you need? Ideally we would like a year advance notice so the date of your day and the weeks prior can be dedicated to your wedding, however we can provide some services last minute, and others with just a few weeks notice.

What is a no hassle, no haggle consultation? Essentially we are a design firm. We design your wedding according to your dream. This requires good communication with each other. The planning process starts with a few phone calls, talking about ideas, prices, time lines, colors, venues, etc. We try to talk about every aspect of your wedding prior to meeting, so when we do meet we have sketches, swatches, and samples ready just for you.  We do not require a deposit until the contract is signed. Unfortunatly, until the contract is signed, your date is open to other weddings.

How long have you been in business? The Wedding Company is a fledgling company, however,Keri has over ten years each in the hospitality industry, over ten years in photography, and several years learning the cake, design, food, and beverage departments.
